The Excelsior is a neighborhood of mostly single-family homes with new and old time residents. It has been described as a neighborhood that is diverse, quiet, and unpretentious.

Mission Street runs along one of the neighborhood’s sides, and its southern border is Geneva Avenue. This area is a great entry-level home market, and a wonderful place to own a house with a backyard. We had a client in the area that had purchased their home for $74,000. He still had the original purchase contract, which was only one page long. Things have changed!
